Pulau Weh

Situated at the northern tip of Sumatera, Pulau Weh is a fantastic destination for snorkeling and diving, although still few travellers make it this far.  Hardcore travellers will enjoy the 16 hours bus journey, but the others might prefer the many flights a day from Medan to Banda Aceh. From there, it's a 45mns crossing by ferry.

The Lost Paradise

The beautiful coral reef can be explored without the usual crowds of divers that you'll find on other islands in South-East Asia. Visit www.rubiahdivers.com or www.lumbalumba.com for more information on diving in Pulau Weh. Snorkeling is at your doorstep, whichever bungalow you choose to settle in. Fishing trips can also be arranged. On the island, nature is plenty: forest reserve, secluded beaches, waterfall, mud pool, mini-volcano, and renting a bike is a good way to see Pulau Weh.
