Medan

Medan is... scattered, piled-up, alive, exciting, colourful. A variety of layered bricks, corrugated sheets, pastel shutters, ordered in a chaotic way. Let your eyes follow the roofline, the street life, the neighbourhood day to day. Let yourself get accustomed to the constant noise, the sticking heat. Medan is... a symphony of roaring engines and beeping horns, of fruitmongers and prayer calls. Let your feet guide you along a small alley in the Masjid Raya Mosque area, have a taste of fresh coffee, a sweat cigarette or a spicy breaky.
