Day 1: Arrive in Medan - transfer to the guesthouse.
Day 2: Visit Medan - the Mesjid Raya Mosque, the Maimoon Palace, Kesawan Square, Merdeka Walk Palace, Hindu Temple, Buddhist Temple, National Museum, croccodile farm..
Day 3: Transfer to Berastagi in the morning - stop at a waterfall, visit a Karo house, arrive at the guesthouse, walk around the town.
Day 4: Climb Mt Sibayak (sunrise optional*) and transfer to Ketambe. Arrive in the evening.
Day 5: Depart for a jungle trek - lunch by a waterfall, camp by a hotspring.
Day 6: Morning trek looking for orang-utans, pack camp and return to the guesthouse. (Extra day possible for rafting - depending on the season).
Day 7: Take the morning to relax before leaving for Lake Toba. Stop at Spiso Piso waterfall*. Arrive in the evening.
Day 8: Discover the Batak culture and tour around the island.
Day 9: Relaxing day by the lake or at a hotspring.
Day 10: Return to Medan.
